Teach For America Las Vegas Valley

Teach For America's mission is to build the movement in Las Vegas to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders in the effort. We recruit, train, and support a corps of outstanding recent college graduates of all academic majors and young professionals who commit to teach for at least two years in underserved schools and to work throughout their lives to advocate for systemic educational reform from all sectors. We believe that the gap in educational outcomes that persist along socioeconomic and racial lines is our nation's greatest domestic civil rights issue, and that in order to live up to our nation's ideal of equality, we must ensure that all children have access to an excellent education.
