When two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. This saying confirms the impact of war on the people of northern, Uganda, especially the children The human devastations from war induce trauma, displacements, poverty and inacessibility to education prompted the founders of Team Africa Ties That Bind to visit Gulu, Uganda in 2004. A journey of solidarity continues to this day through providing needed school fees and capacity building for the nearly 800 men and women who volunteer to support evangelization. Our organization wants to contribute to unlocking the educational dreams of the future generations of Uganda. Education is the main recovery for both children and adults in this ravaged part of Uganda. Our fifth mission trip marks a shift of direction from granting educational sporsorships to empowering the mostly rural communities to generate their children's tuition from income generating projects such as higher yielding farming, poultry and solar food drying.
