Teen Driving Solutions School

Driving is the Number One cause of death for teenagers in America and Teen Driving Solutions School is on a mission to change that.  Operating out of Virginia International Raceway (Alton, VA), we are the only program available that provides intense advanced training for both teen drivers and their parents.

Our two day GRIP on Life Seminars place a primary focus on teaching the mental skills for driving based on the use of Sound Judgment for making Good Decisions.  We also imerse students in vehicle control training that includes both recovery and more importantly, loss of control prevention.

Parents attend classes and drive the same exercises as their teens.  The primary focus in these class sessions is improving their communication skills and learning how to be a coach rather than a parent in the RH seat.  But they also learn exactly what we're teaching their teen so they can lead by example when they return home.

After 3 years of training teens, we have a 99% success rate in keeping our students free from being involved in any type of driving incident.  We're very proud of that fact because the only reason we offer this type of family based training is to provide teen drivers with real skills and parental support proven to help them Arrive Alive.

The truth is, nearly 80% of teenage vehicle fatalities are a result of "driver error" (mistakes).  Each year in the USA, 3000-4000 teens die in vehicle crashes and over 400,000 are injured or maimed.  With your help, we can reduce both of those statistics and save families from the loss, trama and expense that results from these crashes.

Today's teen drivers have been set up to fail.  They are taught the rules of the road but never  trained for the responsibility or achievement of safely controlling that 3500 pound weapon called the automobile.  With your help, we can provide more teens the opportunity to learn life saving driving skills.

No other industry or profession, especially those involving public safety, allows an individual to take a simple written test and be granted life long access to activities or careers that endanger others wiithout requiring continual education and training except for driving, the most dangerous activity our teens are exposed too.  Your contributions don't just help teen drivers, they help provide advanced education and training to college students who face an even greater risk for being killed in car crashes than our teens.

Our training principles have been tested and proven to succeed.  Daniel Wagner, our founder, has used these principles and the training methodoligy we provide to successfully drive over 1 million miles in 4 different countries in all types of vehicles without ever denting or scratching a single vehicle he's driven. 

The staff at TDSS are highly trained professionals.  Our Parent classes are taught by Dr. Darshana Hawks, a Master Relationship Specialist and our Teen classes are taught be Chuck Hawks, a professional race driver and instructor for Military and Diplomat Protection training.  Our in-car instructors are former race car drivers, road course instructors and trained driving professionals.  Additionally our instructors are required to complete our annual training clinics.
