Teen Express International

Teen Express International is a nonprofit organization with a goal to promote mental health awareness, emotional and total well-being, and to help children, teens and young adults thrive, maximize their potential, and succeed in life, in spite of their challenges. It is about health and wellness based on the WHO definition of health which states: "Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease and infirmity." This is an important and crucial focus because a sense of emotional well-being has a direct positive impact on behavior of children, teens and young adults.

The United Sates of America is facing a national mental health emergency which is worsening our youth mental health crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an increase in anxiety, fear, antisocial behavior, crime, depression, suicide, and other related mental health problems. The need for intervention is urgent and crucial, and the time to do so is NOW! U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, other fellow doctors, and leading experts in Child Psychiatry all call for urgent intervention including the establishment of community based mental health service programs similar to Teen Express International. These programs will help save lives and improve family lives, as well as provide a safe and productive community.
