The Goal? $5000! To finish our Trailer to be fully MOBIL! and to go GLOBAL with an interactive global website showing needs and ways to help linking communities across the world! We have run our registered 501 (c) (3) non profit for more then 5 years from our garage and finally got a trailer and went mobil last year:) Now we need to wrap or add vinyl signage to the trailer to bring awareness and notice to our movement. k! Arrow thru our pictures and see what we do and what we need! and then Imagine the confusion and stress each time we get an urgent call to action, "There are 4 siblings without clothing, school supplies or food, dad is in jail, mom is drunk and the shelter says is will be about 5 days before they get a caseworker and vouchers to fill thier needs!" Well, we can't have that. So out to the garage we go and tear through countless bags and boxes of donations. Finding the correct sizes, the items needed and packing backpacks full of school supplies.  We NEED to customize our trailer and get new tires to be a fully mobil donation center, a boutique even. Where with a moments notice we can take off with the trailer to whereever we are needed and have organized bins of hygiene kits, school supplies, good items, underclothing, coats, shoes. You name it. There is a need for it.  Thanks to God and countless volunteers we have grown out of our garage and just have to be able to get out into the communities faster and with more efficiency. Teens Helping Teens,  Founded in 2012 by teen sisters Savannah and Siena Prenger to bring awareness and help to over 7000 teens experienceing some form of homelessness in Clark County and with very little resources specific to teens. Knowing that teens would never want to be known as "homeless" but that "fitting in" at school would be critical to thier survival and success. The mission began with city wide drives for stylish school clothes, shoes, school supplies and hygiene products to get to these mostly invisible teens through creative channels so that they would not be embarrassed!  Teen volunteers were recruited, educated and motived to help thier sisters and brothers in need. Now a 501 (c) (3) registered non profit, 'THT' has multiple ongoing programs and is active in several states.  Other programs include summer and winter survival kits, Prom Scholarship, Hygiene kits, hand made blankets, Teen Angel Tree, Graduation Gift Baskets (Yes, many of our homeless teens, with support and encouragement, stay in school and graduate!) Teen Night Out, I Got Your Back (backpacks filled with school supplies and weekend and school break emergency foods) and many more! We deliver anti bullying programs to kids through the YMCA, we meet with legilators to fight for change. We speak at schools and clubs and educate teens on the plight of many of thier peers. We motivate young people to become involved in community service, we mentor at risk youth and help them stay in school, and then we celebrate them when they graduate and help them realize dreams of even further educaiton. These are our programs and they are are managed, staffed,  and supported by teen volunteers! Not only does THT support teens in need, and help them change thier lives,  but we are growing a whole new generation of caring hearts!   Please consider helping us "Go Mobil" and then up next, "Going Global! That's right, we are now in several states and need to revamp our homemade, simple website, with an interactive website linking teens in need across the nation, with services and teen volunteers! Yes we have big dreams, and high goals! But "if not us, then who? and if not now, then when?"
