Teressie White Memorial Scholarship Foundation

The sole purpose of the Teressie White Memorial Scholarship Foundation is to raise money for scholarship awards to local graduating seniors. When we set up our criteria, we created a scoring rubric that broadens opportunities for students by giving community service and financial need equal weight with academic achievement. Since we incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2005 we have awarded a total of $31,000 to 36 deserving students in the Aromas/San Juan Bautista school district. During that same period we have grown our invested funds from $15,000 to $36,000, while spending just $1,300 on expenses. It is a wonderful feeling to help the kids in our community achieve their dreams of higher education!
