Teton Valley Education Foundation Inc

Since 2005, the generosity of the community, parents, private foundations, and businesses have enhanced the educational experiences of students throughout the Teton School District #401 (TSD.)  

Since our inception, Teton Valley Education Foundation (TVEF) has distributed nearly $350,000 to teachers and classrooms, making a direct impact on the lives of more than 1,600 students.  Whether a gift provides for the needs of an individual, a whole classroom, or an ongoing program, the extra resources the Foundation provides inspires, motivates and transforms the lives of our students.  Thanks to you, and the support of so many, TSD public school students are receiving a higher quality education than was otherwise possible.

Your support is greatly needed.  With the continued economic decline, our schools are seeing firsthand the diminishing effects on education.  Five (5) out of our seven (7) schools have over 40% of the student body population on free or reduced lunch status.  Basin High School has over 60% kids on free or reduced lunch.  With state budgets that are slim to none, our Foundation makes a positive impact and makes quality programs possible.   Our core programs include:

-Teacher Grants. Making nearly $10,000 available annually to fund innovative ideas/curriculum in the classroom that was not otherwise possible.

-Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids. Funding necessary sceening, eyeglasses and hearing aids for those students and families in financial need.

-Backpacks for Students in Need. Partnering with others to provide backpacks for students in need each fall, giving them the best possible start to a new academic year.

-Post-Secondary Scholarships. Making post-secondary scholarships available.  

-ArtReach. Providing an enriching and engaging art education for each elementary student in our schools that was not possible.

-VOICE. Supporting the emotional and social development of our high school students through the VOICE program; a program designed to enable students to help one another.

-Afterschool Programs. Providing programs to engage students and give project-based educational opportunities that dovetails with regular classroom learning.
