The Texas Black Caucus Foundation is on a mission to advance racial justice and social equity through education, engagement, and empowerment programs. Invested in driving meaningful change, we work daily to fight systemic injustice, eliminate racial discrimination and violence, and improve the lives of all Black Texans.

The Texas Black Caucus Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-partisan research institute founded in 1985 and restructured in 2020 to create awareness, inform policy, build community, educate policymakers and inform the public on issues impacting Black Texans.

Our foundation researches, develops, analyzes and educates elected officials, media, and concerned Texans to help create lasting solutions regarding issues caused by racial disparities in health, education, housing, employment, representation, commerce, technology, and the administration of the criminal justice system.

And we don’t stand alone. We’ve built partnerships with civil, business, educational, religious, and community leaders. We believe to solve the complex issues stemming from racism and systemic inequities we must use our individual and collective power, influence, and resources to make transformative societal changes.
