Texas Exotic Animals Inc

A nonprofit organization

Texas Exotic Animals' mission is to rescues animals, educate children & families with limited access & help feed beloved family pets of financially challenged senior citizens.

Texas Exotic Animals INC. is a 501(c)3 non-profit set up to work with emergency responders and other animal rescue organizations in Texas for a protected species of Procyonidae, The White Nosed Coati, Nasua Narica. We will accept other species considered exotic with approval. We will only accept those animals we have proper enclosures and knowledge of. We do not rehome or charge a fee. Donations, supplies, and foster homes are welcomed. We provide a safe nurturing environment for animals that have been rescued. After frequently having gone through abuse an neglect we nurture the animals back to health and carefully choose good homes for them.

We currently have many safe homes and volunteers located throughout the USA to provide safe and legal harbor for these animals, specifically the White Nosed Coati. Please email us if you need to place an exotic animal. We are not looking for free animals or another mouth to feed. We do not purchase or sell animals through our 501c3 organization. Volunteers are accepted after interviewed to be considered for foster homes. We do not take domestic dogs, cats, exotic large cats, bears, or native wildlife (including North American raccoons, opossums) or most species of primates. We normally accept all species of Procyonidae (coatis, kinkajous, and exotic raccoons), lemurs, reptiles, and other small, caged animals. Hoof-stock will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Texas Exotic Animals INC. and Kerry The Critter Guy have come together to provide very educational and fun animal encounters. 63% of school age kids in our county, including over 600 kids under age 9, live below the poverty level. Many of those economically disadvantaged kids will never have the opportunity to visit a traditional zoo. Our goal is to give those kids access to animals & animal education in an environment that they will all feel safe in. We are here for the residents of Camp County, and surrounding counties in Texas.

We love teaching & helping the kids & senior citizens both. There are currently about 420 seniors in our county that live below the poverty level. We enjoy doing hands on experiences for our senior citizens. Additionally, many of our senior citizens have pets they love, that they can no longer afford to feed or care for. Our goal is to give those seniors access to life sustaining food for their pets so that they don't have to give them up or their pets be put down. Partnering with other non-profits & the community we collect & redistribute animals supplies & equipment at no charge to help financially challenged families be able to sustain the pet they have. We will help the animals, senior citizens, families & our city by reducing animal confiscation due to neglect by partnering with God's Closet to get pet food distributed. We are not here to help animal hoarders; we are here to see that beloved pets don't have to be confiscated when a family has fallen on hard times.

We believe kids can greatly benefit from learning about fascinated exotic animals not commonly seen in Texas. We will provide that experience and will work with other non-profits such as Make A Wish or child advocacy organizations, to provide our services for free where needed. Please email us if you know of a deserving child in a hard situation. We love bringing a smile to their face with squeals of excitement. We offer the same services for a fee to financially able families to ensure that no child is left out of the fantastic experience.

We need assistance to feed & house rescued animals. provide educational experiences for families & seniors & to feed beloved pets of financially challenged seniors.
