TGTHR is building a movement that galvanizes communities, empowers young people, and puts an end to youth homelessness. We won't stop until every young person is valued, empowered, and safe.
We do this by providing employment assistance, education programs, supportive housing, short-term housing, long-term housing navigation, support and inclusivity groups, family coaching services, life-skills development, mental and physical wellness support, and an array of individual and group activities for youth ages 12 to 24.
In 2020, TGTHR helped 435 young people meet important goals to build self-sufficient lives. Of that, 70 youth identified as LGBTQ+. The reality is that LGBTQ+ youth are four times more likely to experience homelessness compared to their cisgender straight peers due to having experienced family rejection, bullying, violence, and discrimination in their community. This is why safe, inclusive programs like TGTHR are so critical.
On #GiveOUTDay, the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ+ community, we ask you to join our mission to end youth homelessness.
