Thankful for Chicago

Thankful for Chicago is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create experiences that people leave better than they came. In doing so, we’re bringing together our city to find ways we can use positive experiences and social gatherings to improve community wellness.

Our aim is to connect people with resources, and collaborate with others to answer the fundamental question: How can social gatherings be used to decrease anxiety and depression, while increasing joy? The goal of this program is to create a brilliant cohort of innovators to produce and integrate new paradigms of community care, based in empirical scientific evidence. Thankful For Chicago will unify our city through social gathering, and joy, to facilitate neurological wellness.
