The Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a nonprofit organization dedicated to working toward a peaceful society where domestic violence no longer exists. 

ACADV works to protect domestic violence victims and their families statewide, in partnership with our member shelters in cities across Alabama, including: Jasper, Opelika, Phenix City, Huntsville, Montgomery, Cullman, Demopolis, Dothan, Albertville, Robertsdale, Opp, Mobile, Selma, Pelham, Florence, Anniston, Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. 

The Coalition was organized in 1978 as a network of shelters for battered women, men, and their children, and organizations and individuals concerned about the issue of domestic violence. 

Today, ACADV serves domestic violence victims throughout the state through its 19-member shelter programs, and 24 hour crisis line for domestic violence. 1-800-650-6522.
