The Alexandria Law Library

The Alexandria Law Library has been an excellent example of public and private partnerships. We have been the beneficiary of a successful, 35-year-old venture between the Alexandria Bar Association and the City of Alexandria, enabling us to provide critical resources and support to citizens and area businesses.

The City's proposed budget for the fiscal year that begins July first eliminates the previously City-funded law librarian's position as well as additional funds for books and operating expenses.

The impact of these cuts will be devastating to our community as we provide a critical resource for everyone--all our neighbors--and serve as an information safety net for those most vulnerable.

With an eye on the future and the needs of all Alexandria's citizens, we turn to you for support. Please help us keep the doors open.
