The Alfred Friendly Foundation

The Alfred Friendly Press Partners celebrated in 2013 three decades of an extraordinary exchange of knowledge and bonds between the U.S. and journalists in emerging nations around the world. As of 2014, three hundred fellows from 80 countries have worked in American partner newsrooms. 

In 2012, we changed our name to the Alfred Friendly Press Partners, to recognize the strong partnerships we have and seek with many outside organizations. We unveiled a new website (www.presspartners.org) a logo and a motto, Lifting up Journalism Around the World.

Amid all that is new, we have stuck with Al and Jean Friendly’s belief that individuals make the difference. We respect our Fellows and our partners as unique human beings.
