School children, family members, and community members from all socioeconomic backgrounds come together to gain confidence and independence in the creative process through exploration and self-expression. Through innovative and stimulating exhibits and its art educational programing, TAM strives to ensure that the arts are an integral part of daily living and learning and that the language of art continues to thrive within future generations. In response to increasing budget cuts in area public schools, since 2003 TAM has provided vital opportunities so that the arts are a basic component of every child’s education. TAM works in partnership with area educators in preparing the next generation of leaders with the skills needed to succeed in the 21st Century.

ARTs education = Critical Thinking + Communication +Collaboration + Creativity!

TAM provides art opportunities that challenge and expand the boundaries of creativity for students of all ages. Curriculum is designed to allow students to observe art, articulate their observations and demonstrate new awareness in art through hands-on art making processes. From sending TAM art instructors into public schools through the ARTworks outreach program (6,000+ students annually), ARTours at the museum (2,000+ students and community organizations annually), or afterschool classes and ARTrek summer camps, TAM serves as a regional resource for learning.

$25 provides art supplies for ARTworks outreach classroom visits
$50 offsets the cost of school field trips to TAM with art lessons
$75 helps send TAM artist instructors into rural elementary school classrooms in eastern Idaho
$100 provides field trip busing to TAM for rural and low income school students across eastern Idaho
