The Cabin

The Cabin is a center for readers and writers. The Cabin is for Boise. The Cabin is for you! 

Together we celebrate the joy of sharing words. We help kids tell their stories. We publish local writers. We invite thought-leaders like Anthony Doerr, Cheryl Strayed, and Sherman Alexie into our community and treat them like the rock stars they are. We serve songwriters, bloggers, comic book creators, students, teachers, journalists, playwrights, novelists, satirists, comedians, poets, the quiet kids who read during recess and the hammy kids who like to sing poems into a microphone on our front lawn during summer writing camp.

We can’t tell these stories without your support. At least ninety cents of every dollar given to The Cabin goes directly into programs like Writers in the Schools, Writers in the Attic, Writing Camps, workshops, and the Readings & Conversations Series. None of this happens without you.
