Everyday over 300 men & women from Birmingham and the state of Alabama are served by one of our six housing sites that seek to put an end to their homelessness. We offer a caring and nurturing Emergency Shelter program that allows homeless men to sleep overnight, be fed 3-4 times/day, provide a change of clothes if needed, and shower facilities to promote clean hygeine.

More importantly, we complete a thorough assessment of the men's lives and identify the key barriers that are preventing them from achieving housing stability in their lives.  We then refer them to the appropriate professionals who empower them to build a strong foundation that will end their homelessness.

Substance abuse treatment, NA recovery meetings, career readiness classes, GED & literacy education, life skills seminars, bible studies and mental health counseling partnerships are all available to the men once they enter our transitional or permanent housing programs.

163 men are housed in our transitional, permanent, or Safe Haven facilities and receive supportive services until they achieve self sufficiency, independence and are productive citizens of society again.
