The Foster Care Council of LexKy Inc

The FCC’s mission is to enrich the lives of children who are
removed from their homes due to abandonment, serious neglect, or abuse.  Our organization provides these children with the funds, support and opportunities that the state’s  foster care system cannot.  The majority of children that enter the foster care system have suffered from some sort of abuse, self-image and/or self-esteem problems.  They feel sad, angry, abandoned, frightened, and isolated from their family and friends.  They often find themselves in situations that would strain even the most well-adjusted adults.  By providing funding for tutoring, clothing gift cards, and enrichment activities, we are giving these children an opportunity to explore talents that could very easily go undiscovered.  Our objective is to provide them with a feeling of normalcy and help successfully transition them into adulthood.
