This Charity was founded by Kirsten Arbon.  Here is her story:

On May 3, 2012 Kirsten Arbon was diagnosed with breast cancer while 19 weeks pregnant.  She received 6 rounds of chemotherapy during her pregnancy and on September 26, 2012 she delivered her third child, a healthy baby boy who had more hair than her.  Two weeks after the delivery she underwent a mastectomy with all of her 21 lymph nodes being removed.  This was followed by 12 more weekly chemotherapy treatments and 35 radiation treatments ending April 6,  2013.  The 11 months of cancer treatment was then topped off with her entering into full cardiac arrest on May 1, 2013.  She was kept alive with CPR performed by her sister in the middle of a street and brought back with the paddles by paramedics. She was in a coma for 5 days leaving the hospital 8 days later with a defibrillator/pacemaker embedded in her chest.  Through all of this Kirsten was continuously helped by hundreds of people.  As of today Kirsten has worked to get her self back mentally, physically and spiritually after all its not many who get to live twice.

All of that trauma combined with the compassion shown to her by others has ignited a  passion inside her to help others. The KM3 Project  was born out of that passion with the hopes of doing great things.  She can't cure cancer but she can certainly try to make the journey for other families fighting the disease a bit easier.
