Thanks to community supporters such as you, each July an audience of as many as 30,000 participate in the celebration of our nation's independence at the MSO's "Salute to Independence" concert on the hallowed ground of Antietam National Battlefield. 

This year's "Salute to Independence" will be on July 6, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.

We want you to hear about a special group of supporters to work with the MSO in sustaining this event for the long-term, the "FRIENDS OF THE SALUTE!"

You are invited to become a "Friends of the Salute" member!  Our goal is to ensure the "Salute to Independence" one note at a time, year after year.

As a member of the "Friends of the Salute" we would like to recognize you and extend our thank you by providing a number of benefits to make your "Salute" experience even more memorable, such as an MSO beverage koozie, a VIP parking pass for this July's event, and premium seating close to the stage.  Of course, we'll also recognize you in the event program and in our concert program book BRAVO!  You'll also be sure to be among the first to receive information about the "Salute to Independence" and other MSO events through receiving our e-newsletter. 

Every "Salute" is memorable in some way...perhaps it's the timeless performance of the National Anthem as "Old Glory" rises above the concert site or the rendition of a personal favorite by a guest artist, the performance of the "Stars and Stripes" or cannon fire during the 1812 Overture.  As a community, this tradition means so much to each of us and to our entire region.
