The Miracle League of the Desert

In 2013, the Basin Wide Foundation with the help of many generous donors built a Miracle League field in Yucca Valley and started the Miracle League of the Desert.  Miracle League is a national organization dedicated to people with special needs.  The rubberised surface allows children and adults with disabilities to safely arrive on base in wheel chairs and walkers if the are not able to walk.  Buddies from the community assist the athletes with batting and fielding.  The field was built with them in mind and they know it, so it makes them feel special and confident - it is truly a Miracle to watch!
