WHAT WE DO

The Monarch is a special place for Music, Art & Community. We’re a crucial hub for musicians and creatives living in Louisville KY, as well as an important destination for Artists coming to and through our city. People come here to share music, work, play, connect, create, learn and grow. We build community through music and by connecting folks from our neighborhoods with new friends from all over the country. Music bring us together, together we make a difference.

We're a 501c3 nonprofit co-working space and communal hub for the creation, education, collaboration, performance and advancement of original music and art in Louisville, KY. We provide writing, rehearsal, performance and meeting spaces, workshops & educational programs, and communal tools of the trade for musicians and artists of all levels.

OUR MISSION

Community is the key! We're bringing folks together to foster a stronger, more cohesive, creative and vibrant Louisville Ky. Our mission is to encourage, promote and uplift original local & touring Artists, while promoting Music/Art appreciation and education in our community. We know how important music is... it brings folks together, it makes us better. We are working hard to amplify the sounds of our city and beyond.

A THIRD SPACE - Creativity, Community & More

With the help of our members and folks like you, we provide a one-of-a-kind facility that is vendor free & BYO. We don't sell anything here and this place feels like home. Available to local artists/musicians/creatives 7 days a week, we host countless Jams, Rehearsals, Workshops, Mixers, Educational Programs, Lessons, Literary Engagements, Community Events and more. 

The Monarch is a space for creativity and community! We provide crucial space for local and touring artists to create, connect, collaborate, experiment, perform, learn and grow.

Since June of 2022, we've hosted over 215 community events (mostly free/donation based), featuring over 700 local, regional, national and international touring Artists. (Including GRAMMY winners like Jason Isbell, Margo Price, Jim James, Nappy Roots, Michael Cleveland & more). 

GIVE FOR GOOD & GIVE FOR THE GARAGE

Proper Rehearsal/performance space is SO IMPORTANT for Artists in our community. So it's a PRIORITY PROJECT for us! Through Give For Good, we can complete our Garage renovation project and DOUBLE OUR CAPACITY to host rehearsals and special artist events. Adding an additional 500 sq ft of soundproofed rehearsal/performance space, so that we can host listening room events and artist rehearsals at the same time! This is a BIG DEAL folks!
