Our mission is to interpret the natural world through research, education and exhibits; to promote understanding of the evolution and diversity of southern California and the peninsula of Baja California; and to inspire in all a respect for nature and the environment. 

Your support advances our work to study local biodiversity as well as inspire the next generation of conservationists. It keeps our scientists in the field working to study and conserve wildlife, inspires our educators to create distance learning resources and online events and programs, and helps our exhibition team plan and build exciting new spaces in the Museum.
