At Neighborhood Christian Clinic (NCC), our mission is simple: Restoring Health. Restoring Lives.

We believe no one should have to choose between groceries, rent, and seeing a doctor. Yet for many uninsured neighbors in Phoenix, that is the daily reality. When you do not have health coverage, a persistent cough, a painful tooth, a scary new symptom, or an infected cut can turn into a crisis fast. NCC exists so our neighbors can get care before “later” becomes an emergency.

Who we are
NCC is a faith-based medical and dental clinic serving uninsured and underserved neighbors with compassionate, high-quality care. We treat every patient with dignity, listen carefully, and work hard to remove barriers that keep people from getting help.

Who we help
We serve neighbors who have no health insurance and limited resources. Many are working and raising families, but when money is tight, healthcare gets pushed to the bottom of the list. Our patients often delay care until pain or symptoms become impossible to ignore. Some are parents who know their child needs help but have nowhere else to turn. Many are managing chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, and depression without consistent medical support.

A moment that captures our mission
One evening, two parents arrived after hours carrying their young daughter. Her foot was badly cut and she was frightened. Dr. Paul Lorentsen was already heading out, but he brought them in. Within minutes, her wound was cleaned and repaired, and she left with a tetanus shot, antibiotics, and crutches.

That is what you do through NCC. You keep a door open when life is urgent.

Care for the whole person
We are committed to excellent, practical healthcare. We also believe people heal best when they are seen as whole persons. Our providers build relationships over time, offer follow-up, and pray with patients who want prayer.

Looking ahead
Mental and behavioral health needs are rising, and support is even harder to access for the uninsured. NCC is expanding behavioral health services so more neighbors can receive integrated care for mind, body, and soul.
