The Neighborhood Christian Clinic Inc

TNCC is a non-profit medical and dental clinic located in central Phoenix that was formed in 1996.  TNCC is directed by a board of physicians, leaders, and community members with a mission to provide healthcare to the medically uninsured, underserved working poor.  The preponderance of patients is women as well as children and the elderly.  The Clinic’s local community is predominately composed of working poor Hispanics, a group which is especially underserved.  The Clinic delivers high quality primary and specialty healthcare and provides for walk in visit opportunities.  TNCC wishes to meet a dire and growing community need for healthcare by leveraging its experience and proven ability to deliver healthcare services to those who live in challenging circumstances and have no other means to obtain care.

Staffing consists of 14 paid staff and over 300 volunteer doctors, dentists, and healthcare personnel, who are coordinated by a Medical Director, a Dental Director and an Executive Director.  Additionally, a network of over 45 sub specialists in the community accept "no fee" or greatly reduced fee consults from the clinic, and patients, when appropriate, are referred to community resources, including counseling services, youth programs, and rehabilitation facilities. TNCC provided over 9,300 patient visits in 2012 and is on pace to perform over 10,200 patient visits in 2013.  Volunteers donated over 8,500 hours in 2013 and, at the current rate, we will exceed 9,000 volunteer hours in 2013.  Because of such volunteer efforts by healthcare professionals as well as financial donations, the clinic is able to provide services at a patient cost of only $30 per visit.
