The William H. Graham, Sr. Fund            

Bill Graham had many titles during his 52 years at Olney Theatre Center, among them - General Manager, Board President, Executive Producer of National Players, Chair of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Board Chairman Emeritus. On September 6, 2014 The William H. Graham, Sr. Fund was established in honor of his legacy.

Bill was a forward thinking artist, teacher, and administrator. The Fund’s purpose is to help sustain Olney Theatre Center’s role as Maryland’s premier center for theater performance and education.

 “I don’t teach people how to act. I ask questions. Then, when I get their response, I give them directions to do the opposite.” - Mr. Graham, Sr. leading a drama class.

  “Give yourself permission to go beyond what you can imagine yourself doing.” - Wiliam Graham, Sr.

Mr. Graham always believed in the strength of imagination.

Bill persistently reinforced community engagement, hard work, and service no matter how difficult the circumstances. Far past his retirement in 1993, Bill was a tireless presence at Olney Theatre, always inquiring about growth, excellence, and community response.
