The community we love is being devastated by the effects of addiction. Every day, we witness the heartbreaking toll on our families, friends, and neighbors: lives lost too soon, families shattered, and the economic strain on our area reaching staggering heights. None of us are untouched by this crisis. That's why Serenity Inc. is committed to making a difference through The Recovery Complex, a beacon of hope on the Serenity House campus in Clark County. This facility will provide a centralized, dedicated location where individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol addiction can find real, lasting recovery.

The 2013 bridge expansion in Jeffersonville forced the closure of the Jeffersonville Token Club, displacing 34 weekly recovery groups. While Serenity House stepped in to host some meetings, its facility was not designed to accommodate this need, leaving a significant gap in recovery resources in Southern Indiana. That's why Serenity House is building The Recovery Complex.

The Recovery Complex will be a 10,000-square-foot facility designed specifically to meet the needs of our recovery community. The building will have large spaces for 12-step meetings, a gymnasium for recreation that can also host recovery conferences and community events, and rooms where individuals can meet with their sponsors. The Recovery Complex will also have a restaurant, coffee, and snack bar with high quality, affordable options that is open to the Clark County community. The restaurant will be a second chance employer, providing opportunities to those looking to change their lives. 

With its foundation, shell, and roof already in place, and utilities run to the site, the project is well underway. It is currently scheduled to open in January.
