The Upper Room is a non-profit Family Resource Center in Derry, NH serving Southern New Hampshire and beyond. 

MISSION "Strengthen individuals and families by providing them with education, services and resources needed to lead healthy, self-sufficient lives."

WHAT WE DO

The Upper Room offers 24 services and programs supporting families, teens, young adults and those in need.

Family Wellness Programs

• 
  Parent Education - classes and workshops 
  


• Kinship Navigation - case management and group support for caregivers and their children
  


• Greater Derry Family Outreach - short-term in-home support
  


• Connect - parent/child (ages 0-6) monthly playgroup and resources


• Building Strong Families - parent/child (ages 0-12) weekly activity group and resources for those facing challenging times


• Teen Information for Parenting Success Program - education and support for parents (ages 13-23) and their children


• Parent and Caregiver Cafe - support group for those raising teens
  

• 
  Health and Behavioral Education - on topics such as substance use, anger management, shoplifting, and risks of vaping
  


• Expressions - creative activity group for middle schoolers
  


• Community Service Learning Opportunities - local service projects for teens


• Mindful Teens Network - discussions around relationships, confidence, and boundary setting
  

Greater Derry Juvenile Diversion Program

• Alternative to Court - for first time juvenile offenders referred for out-of-court personalized plans of accountability. 

• High School Equivalency Test Prep (HiSET) - classes and testing in partnership with local high schools


• Rejuven8 Program - academic support during high school suspension
