Our Story
The Village Method (TVM)
A community-based grassroots organization with a mission dedicated to making youth unstoppable. We do this by offering culturally responsive Youth Development, Family Engagement, and Community Outreach programming in Alameda County of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our Core Pillars
Our mission is to operate as a conduit building capacity for social change and the advancement of Black youth, families, and community-based organizations working together to develop a sustainable academic and cultural pipelines from elementary to college, from college to career and back to their community.
The Village Method
The Village Method connects African American youth and their families with local businesses, government, cultural institutions, and support services, so that they may achieve their full potential. Our programs reach the underserved Black youth and families of suburban South Alameda County, creating a holistic cycle where students progress to college, careers, and return to give back to their community.
As the African proverb reminds us, it takes a community working together to give our youth every opportunity they need to succeed. By forging connections and increasing contact between young people and leaders from across their community, The Village Method helps children understand that they are our most valuable asset.
The Village Method is a nonprofit 501(c)3 grassroots organization dedicated to creating a united community that is invested in the success of its youth and families. We believe in maximizing resources within our community, engaging families and empowering children to achieve social, academic, and economic success.
