15 years ago  when my firstborn started outgrowing gear, I struggled to find a way to donate them.  I volunteered with homeless agencies but they did not have the room or time to pick up nor a warehuse to store and sort goods.  So with a cell phone and a minivan I began to to deliver diapers, clothing, baby gear and more to the dozens of social workers in the area. My friends got my weekly Wish List and donated as needed. Today we have a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse and staff of 10 but the 1,200 volunteers serve yearly do most of the sorting, moving and kitting up of goods. We provide 750 tons of clothing, furniture, lamps, TVs, car seats and much more to 36,000 poor each year. We are privately funded and each dollar is leveraged into $6 in value of goods out.
