The Barnacle Society

In the face of ever increasing king tides eroding our shores and hurricanes bringing disastrous storm surge, The Barnacle Society has undertaken a unique challenge, an Erosion Mitigation and Landscape Masterplan.  The Barnacle’s landscape is as much of a cornerstone to its soul as the historic house itself. To protect this extraordinary slice of Coconut Grove, we have begun a comprehensive Landscape Master Plan that will address erosion, expand safe and thoughtful public access, and prepare the grounds for the realities of future sea-level rise. This initiative ensures that the park’s shoreline, trails, native vegetation, and open green spaces remain resilient and beautiful for generations. By supporting this effort, you help preserve the natural character, ecological health, and quiet magic that make The Barnacle one of Miami’s most cherished waterfront sanctuaries.

The Barnacle Society is determined to keep this treasure pristine, in top shape and repair, so we can offer all of Miami-Dade in this idyllic venue beautiful milieus, engaging events, great musical shows, and meaningful social activities, for all ages, and all in a responsible manner: a diverse offering of education and entertainment, relaxation and reflection, beauty and balance.
