What started out in 1949 as Panola County's finest Movie theater is now so much more!

For over 20 years, a little piece of American nostalgia in downtown Carthage, known as the "Esquire Theatre", has been the home of a "hidden gem" in East Texas: The Country Music Hayride musical variety show.
Through the years, The Hayride has provided Panola County with an outlet for folks to enjoy good old-fashioned, wholesome, family entertainment.
It's a place where young and aspiring artists, musicians, and entertainers have the opportunity to "get their feet wet" playing with a live band and performing on stage.
Today, the Esquire Theater is also home to The Esquire Players, a community theatre troupe, and also host to many other activities in the arts like the Mainstreet Short Film Festival, The Arts Walk of Fame Induction, Texas Comedies musical shows, Theatre Camp and the all new Film Camp. Gary Junior High and High Schools also call The Esquire their home stage.
As with any home, The Esquire needs a lot of upkeep and that's where you come in!
