The Cause Community Church

What is the cause of Christ? It is described by the words of Isaiah: “…to preach good news to the poor…to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for captives, and release from darkness for prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor…to comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve…to bestow on them a crown of beauty so they will be called oaks of righteousness…” (61:1-3).

We believe that a cause is a principle that people believe in and work for. A cause is more powerful than a vision because a cause lives on when a vision dies. There are countless examples of men and women who lived and died for a cause. The greatest of these examples is Jesus Christ.

Jesus came for us. He came to testify to the truth that is ultimately found in Him. The cause demands commitment and there is no greater example than the sacrifice Jesus paid so that we might have a restored relationship with Him. The cause didn’t lead Jesus to the cross; it kept Him there. The Church testifies to the truth by sharing the good news with others. It is an awesome privilege to serve God and share His love.
