Community of Hope

An elderly lady who comes to Community of Hope for help with food and clothes asked if we could help her with an electric stove. She had recently moved into her own apartment and had no way to cook and didn't have money to buy a stove. She said, "I need a stove- even if only one eye works."  Not long after her request, a stove, in several pieces, was given to our ministry. One of our volunteers put it back together and we delivered the stove. At the end of the visit we prayed, "Dear God, thank you for this home, thank you for your love for us, and thank you for this stove and please let it work,in Jesus' name, Amen."  On her next visit to our ministry center we asked her how the stove was working. She smiled and said, "Everything on the stove works fine - only one eye doesn't work!"  It's amazing to see how God uses so many people who are willing to be used to meet needs of all kinds! Through your support of Community of Hope we can continue to make a difference in peoples' lives through sharing God's love. Your gifts will be used to buy food for our food pantry; gasoline for our furniture truck; snacks and school supplies for children in our tutoring ministry, and supplies needed to host evangelistic block parties in multi-family housing areas. Our ultimate goal is H.O.P.E. (helping others prepare for eternity).
