The Core Collective at Saint Vincent

The Core Collective at Saint Vincent is a thriving community invested in the transformational power of youth. We are on a mission to make well-being the standard for St. Louis. We improve healthcare for families, advance socioeconomic equity, and activate conscious leaders. 

The Core Collective at Saint Vincent, formerly known as St. Vincent Home for Children, was founded in 1850 as an orphanage in response to a cholera epidemic and fire that took the lives of over 4000 St. Louis residents. The Core Collective at Saint Vincent provides transitional housing and wraparound services for youth ages 16-22, community-based mental health support to families with children ages 6-19, street outreach to unhoused youth, and hosts youth and community members at the Hub (community recreation and resource center). The Core Collective at Saint Vincent has provided support to the St. Louis community for over 173 years and serves over 700 individuals each year. The Core Collective recently expanded their programs to meet the immense need for mental health and housing services for youth aging out of the foster care system. 

We are dedicated to empowering and uplifting youth, their families, and members of our community through a comprehensive, trauma-informed approach. We provide a range of holistic, supportive services including therapy, counseling, case management, art therapy, life skills education, and more via our programs. We work with youth to develop individualized treatment plans, and encourage them to take active roles and advocate for their health and well-being. The Core Collective at Saint Vincent is a safe and caring community where our young people receive positive life-changing opportunities that build character, self-respect, and life skills to reach their highest potential.
