What

The Leonardo is a new kind of museum connecting science, technology and creativity.

Why

We live in a rapidly-changing, super-connected world that asks each citizen to be more curious, more informed and more engaged.  The Leonardo’s mission is to reflect and respond to this new world by creating an innovative, dynamic space that builds fluency and knowledge, ignites the creative imagination of visitors of all ages, and inspires them to see and act in new and powerful ways.

How

The Leonardo offers a constantly changing experience connecting science, technology and creativity, creating an environment for visitors to see in new ways. Visitors will find traveling exhibitions that range from large-scale international shows to smaller photography exhibits; displays that highlight local innovation and innovators; workshop spaces that allow visitors to experiment and invent with physics, art, engineering and digital animation; classes, after-hours events and performances.

Where

The Leonardo is located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City on Library Square, and is part of the city's growing civic center that includes the main library, city government, a new public safety building and the courthouse. Once home to the Salt Lake City Public Library, The Leonardo's building has been a center for learning, curiosity, and discovery for the people of Utah and the Wasatch Front for nearly 50 years.
