Therapeutic Riding of Tucson has been providing equine facilitated therapies for over 40 years.

TROT provides a wide array to services to children, many with serious physical limitations or social/emotional special needs. Between therapeutic riding for school-aged children, physical therapy for children as young as 2 ½ years old, horseback riding events for children of deployed parents from DMAFB, deaf and blind students, grieving children, and equine assisted therapy for all ages, TROT staff, volunteers and the horses of TROT stay very busy.

But TROT does not just aid children. Adult programs include therapeutic riding programs, programs for veterans, adults who have had a negative experience on horseback and want to conquer their fear, as well as equine assisted psychotherapy.

A great many of TROT's children receive generous scholarships from TROT, made possible primarily by donation from people like you. Few TROT programs are insurance-eligible, and those that are insurance-eligible do not recoup the full cost of the therapy provided. Veterans participate at no cost.

The reason TROT does it? The child who speaks her first word, ever, on a horse. Seeing a quiet, withdrawn child sit up tall, grinning from ear to ear as he navigates his horse with confidence. TROT sees small miracles happen all the time.

You can be part of making these moments happen, when you make a tax-deductible contribution to TROT!
