Action Over Apathy

We began exploring innovative and lasting solutions to poverty over ten years ago.  We started our first project - redeeming slaves in Southern Nepal - and The Reckoning International was born.  We have discovered that solutions to poverty are found among the poor.

Since that time we have been slowly growing into an efficient organization that is overcoming poverty with opportunity. Through micro-loans, business training, and development initatives, we've pioneered successful economic development projects in impoverished areas of Central America, Ukraine, Uganda, Burundi, and Kenya. We're finding that the real solutions to poverty are empowering, sustainable, and found among the poor themselves. We're rethinking how global poverty is addressed…and we're seeing results. People are thriving when given the opportunity to work and become self-supporting.  Our associates are using their God given gifts and talents, succeeding wildly, and becoming a part of our cycle of generosity that's changing the world!

One of our most exciting new initiatives is called Forrest of Hope.  It is simple but powerful.  We plant sustainable harvest trees in the developing world.  This greens the environment, fights deforestation, and pays for orphans and fatherless children to go to school!
