In 2009, long time teacher, Harry Weekes, founded The Sage School, and set out on a mission to educate and equip future citizens with the necessary skills to address the social, economic, and environmental challenges of our time.

The Sage School’s curriculum is project- and community-based. Projects culminate in a performance or product that is assessed by the student, teacher, and a local expert from the community. This real-world project management and assessment process has implications and impact beyond the scope of a traditional grade. For example, students grow organic food in our on-site greenhouse, and then sell the produce to local restaurants and markets. They are ‘hired’ to create products and events for local non-profits that impact marketing initiatives and business outcomes. These are real responsibilities. After graduating from The Sage School, in addition to having a transcript, students have a resume.

The Sage School's vision is one, not only for Sage students, but for the economic, environmental, and social vitality of the Wood River Valley.

Your support sustains the Sage Experience and preserves choice in education. Giving to The Sage School is an investment in our children's education, as well as in our social and environmental well-being.

No gift is too small, and we appreciate your participation at any level.

Thank you.
