StreetLight Community Outreach Ministries was initially formed and operated by the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Woodbridge, Virginia.  Through the Vineyard, we began an aggressive benevolence outreach ministry to the poor and homeless in Prince William County and surrounding communities.  We formally began our ministry in 1996 by opening a pantry.  In 2004, the Vineyard incorporated the ministry and applied for and received a separate 501(c)3 tax-exempt status and renamed our ministry.

God has brought the neediest among us to our door, and we believe it's our responsibility to provide assistance that is mostly lacking in our community.  StreetLight is successful because people who come to our doors are made to feel accepted and welcomed, as they are treated with respect and dignity.  StreetLight's goal is to demonstrate God's love by providing practical assistance for impoverished families and homeless men and women.  We serve this population through our pantry service, a weekly community outreach dinner, financial aid for crisis needs, and permanent supportive housing. Everyone is welcome, regardless of faith, race or nationality.   No one is required to listen our faith message to receive services.
