The Volunteer Center has been connecting volunteers with opportunities that matter for over 67 years. Opportunities that matter means that they contribute to the personal and professional growth of the volunteer and the development of individuals as civic leaders within their communities. Opportunities that matter also means that they contribute in a meaningful way to the actual impact that nonprofits are delivering and that they are addressing priority community concerns. As board members and long-term volunteers, as groups and individuals giving back, volunteers have the opportunity to determine priority needs and set the agenda for change in our civil society.
