Think Dignity

Think Dignity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to advance the basic dignity of people experiencing homelessness through advocacy and innovation. 

We strive to develop community-based solutions by working closely with our unhoused neighbors and local service providers. Our efforts result in meaningful change in San Diego through our innovative social services and legal advocacy, such as managing San Diego's first Transitional Storage Center that offers free storage units for people experiencing homelessness, creating three Mobile Operations of Dignity (MOD) programs that provide hot showers, menstrual products, undergarments, and nutritious meal options, expanding our Legal Clinics to educate and empower individuals on their basic rights, launching our Homeless Youth Legal & Advocacy Project (HYLAP) to support homeless youth with an attorney and advocate, and spearheading advocacy campaigns to directly address the injustices that homeless individuals experience.  

Since our founding, we have supported over 9,200 people experiencing homelessness with 500+ free storage per year, 87,250 hygiene items, 100,393 menstrual products, 16,843 meals, 1,200+ civil and criminal cases, and numerous advocacy campaigns on decriminalizing homelessness, the right to housing, and access to basic hygiene.
