Announcing the Thomas Crane Mini-Golf Classic to be held at the Main Library on Saturday, April 27, 2019. In addition to Mini-Golf there will be Food, Drinks, Music, and Wine & Beer Tasting. 6 to 10 p.m., Mini-Golf starts at 7 p.m.

Event is for people 21 years of age and up.

When you or family members want to borrow books, attend lectures, or enroll in adult education classes, where do you turn?

If you’re like most in our community, you go to the Thomas Crane Public Library. You know you will receive top-notch service from the librarians when doing research or selecting books, music, and movies.

Since 2015, with your help, the Foundation has spent over $100,000 on the following items for the Main Library: 100 new chairs, three study carrels, computer tables for the Children’s Room, a fast charging station for patrons’ mobile devices, assorted steel display shelving, 14 MacBook Pro laptops for teen and adult tech learning programs, a digital microfilm scanner/printer for local and family history research, and more. 

In 2018 the Foundation earmarked another $50,000 for long overdue upgrades to the North Quincy Branch Library. Patrons of the branch have marveled at the beautiful new furniture.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Thomas Crane Public Library Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.  The Foundation supports and strengthens the mission of the Thomas Crane Public Library by raising the visibility of the library and its programs and encouraging community involvement.  The Foundation initiates major fundraising efforts for projects above and beyond what city budgets can provide while reinforcing the need for continued and increased support for the library.
