Three Hearts Urban Food Forest

Three Hearts joins other community organizations to share the responsibility of bringing garden education to schools and community spaces by raising funds for materials, scholarships, field trips, and educators.  The garden is an awesome teacher.  It teaches science, math, art, history. On a deeper level, it teaches patience, forgiveness, cooperation, respect, and compassion.  By taking learning outside into the garden, students are able to connect directly with the lessons.  They observe, dig, build, and grow, not only food, but an awakened sense of how things work and what their connection is to their environment.  Educators want to provide this in their schools, however funding is often one of the biggest barriers.
