Thurston Community Media

Thurston Community Media

Thurston Community Media is a non-profit organization dedicated to media literacy and education. We believe that media production should be accessible to everyone. For 40 years, we have been bringing the community together by providing a welcoming space for local content producers of all ages to learn and grow.

Through specialized youth programs and senior classes, we supply our community with the tools and techniques necessary to navigate today's media landscape. We have implemented classes for seniors to learn about online safety. Our youth classes introduce technology and media while building life skills, such as collaboration, discipline, and organization.

Our organization has documented content and preserved local history for decades. With your support, we can continue to provide the space, equipment, and educational resources our community needs!

What TCMedia is working on

Thurston Community Media believes that a strong, healthy community relies on equal media access and active media literacy. We guarantee our community has access to professional media equipment, studio space, and local information they need while teaching people how media messages are built.

Thurston Community Media empowers the creation of local content through digital media education, accessible technology, and community-centered storytelling—encouraging critical thinking, creative expression, civic engagement, and connection. To keep TCMedia for the community is to fulfill our mission.
