Tifton Council for the Arts

A nonprofit organization

We believe that generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad. A global threat like COVID-19 affects more than just the infected. A pandemic like this touches every person on the planet, and it presents an opportunity to come together as a global community.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving and unity that will take place on November 30th. Let’s come together to drive a spike of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.

Together we can heal. Be a part of the solution: show your support and rally to do some good!

The Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage is housed in a 120-year-old architectural treasure in the heart of the Tifton Historic District.  The Museum has been immaculately preserved and it now serves as an exhibit space, and hosts art classes, and events for the community.  Our mission is to both celebrate the arts in South Georgia by making art affordable and accessible to the community, and to preserve the historic structure of this beautiful building and stained glass windows.

The Museum has been through many challenges over the last year and a half and we are thrilled to have our doors open again and to provide a full slate of art exhibits and classes for next year!

In 2021 over 2,500 individuals were touched by programing at the Museum:

- 1,500 people tuned in to watch the Celebrate Creativity: Artists in Action videos
- 500 children through take-home art boxes
- 200 adults and children through art classes
- 80 households and 50 businesses made financial contributions
- 213 individuals purchased tickets to the virtual gala which raised a record-breaking $37,000 in profits to contribute to our mission

Our goal is to continue growth in 2022 by reaching out into the community and becoming the center for arts in Tift County. Your gift to the Museum will support more art exhibits with community events, classes, children’s art scholarships, and the annual in-person Celebrate Creativity festival. All of these events provide art access to children and adults, support local artists, and contribute to a healthier, more vibrant community.

Please consider making a gift to us this year. This would help make a huge impact in our ability to provide creative art programming in Tifton. Your gift will help us ensure that we continue to preserve these services to our community, to our children, and to our grandchildren.

You can still get in your end of year donation by December 31, 2021 by giving either a one time or recurring/monthly gift online or put a check in the mail to:
