Time to Build International Inc

Currently, one in three families in Latin America, or 59 million people, live in dwellings that are unsuitable for habitation, built with inadequate materials or lacking basic infrastructure services. At the most basic economic level, homelessness is caused by poverty and unemployment. The poor simply cannot afford adequate shelter and primarily consist of helpless children, women and the elderly. The poorest and most destitute people live in shacks made of cardboard. The statistics are heart breaking and overwhelming.

Time to build international (TBI) is a non-profit organization with a purpose of providing the funds to purchase building materials for the construction of 21 m² (226 sq ft) home, consisting of a 3 m by 6 m (9.8 ft  by 19.7 ft) room, plus a bathroom and kitchen in the remaining 3 m² (32.3 sq ft). 

All materials are purchased with the financial support of our donors, the manual labor to construct the homes is donated by the community where the homes are being built. Volunteers consist of a mix of skilled labor, family members and members of a church community.

 

Building one house at a time TBI has changed the daily life of 28 families since 2013. You can make a difference, through your donations we can potentially impact the lives of thousands. It is our hope we can replace countless cardboard shacks with safe and well-constructed brick rooms. The current cost of a single house is $1,500.00 our goal is to build 30 houses in 2015.
