Timeless Concerts is proud to offer an absurd amount of variety each concert! We might cover music over a 400 year span from Vivaldi to Mancini, opera to musicals, tangos to Irish fiddling! LeeAnne Chenoweth is violinist, founder, president and artistic director of Timeless Concerts; presenting music of various countries of the world and time periods. She worked full time in the Ft. Worth Symphony violin section 1990-2007. Timeless Concerts first concert was in summer 2007. This series is unique; a chamber music, or small ensemble performing at least 10 concerts per year in Tarrant County. Coming from an orchestral background, Chenoweth knew many of the composers she loved not only composed for large orchestra, but also for the group of piano, violin and cello; the ensemble she chose for T C. She also loves beautiful opera arias and songs of musicals, so singers are included. Our audience enjoys hearing about the songs to be sung, translating if needed, history of the composers and about what inspired them. Our performers' bios on the website show that everyone has solid credentials and professional performance experience. The concerts are one hour, not two, as you would expect at a concert hall. They are in smaller venues, as we are acoustic. The audience enjoys being close to the performers, it is an intimate space with table seating, complimentary drinks, and a capacity of 200. At $40 per ticket you can’t get so close to the performers at large halls, plus have complimentary refreshments. There is even a post concert party with a pianist who takes requests. We do rely on grants and donations to keep ticket prices affordable; as with most non profit arts orgs, ticket sales only cover half of our operating budget. Chenoweth and other Timeless musicians occasionally donate their time visiting area title 1 schools, to perform and educate students not only about music, but also about different careers in music, from teaching to performing to music therapy. Ms. Chenoweth especially encourages those in elementary school orchestra to continue through high school. Many studies have found that students benefit greatly by including music in their education. Music fosters self discipline from the need to practice an instrument individually, helps form friendships from the group effort of being in orchestra or band, builds confidence, relieves stress, and improves test scores in general as music activates both the left and right brain simultaneously. Chenoweth hopes to inspire students to be engaged in and appreciate the arts, pointing out that today's famous composer of Star Wars fame, John Williams, was inspired by classical composers such as Beethoven and Holst. Students are offered free tickets to Timeless. Timeless musicians wanted to maintain a connection with orchestra students and began sharing part of the Timeless annual February fundraiser funds with a few schools for much needed orchestra class supplies and instrument repairs. Our 5 concert themes are performed in pairs; one at our large venue, the Holt Hickman Center in Ft. Worth, and one at a smaller venue in Arlington, River Legacy Nature Center. Our February 2025 concerts "Valentines Special and Fundraiser" was a sell out, and was followed by our May concerts, “Evening in France," with instrumental and vocal music of Debussy, Bizet, and even a jazz work by Claude Bolling. Our July 2025 concert, "Music of the North Countries," featured a seldom heard trio (violin/cello/piano) by Tchaikovsky as well as his vocal songs, plus music of our young living composer, Ola Gjeilo of Norway. The September 2025 concerts, "Music of the Spanish Language", will include music for the trio of piano, violin and cello by Spanish composer Enrique Granados as well as songs of Mexico. November theme will be "Evening in Germany," with music of Bach, Mozart, Schubert and more. Timeless Concerts' goal is to keep great music of all time alive; to raise up future arts supporters, and to offer great evenings of music and fellowship for the community. Each concert has a big variety, something for everyone. The same concert could have everything from a tango, to a movie theme, to opera, to Mozart! Some things may be recognized, and some things a new adventure in music. Please see our videos on our home page of the website, to better understand how Timeless Concerts impacts north Texas. The 2 minute video top of home page showcases our variety; the longer video below it explains our mission and work. In 2010, Ms. Chenoweth was recognized as a recipient of the Legacy of Women award, representing the arts in Arlington, given to her by the SafeHaven of Tarrant County for her work in creating and producing Timeless Concerts. Mission statement: Our mission is to present chamber music of all styles and eras, in a casual and engaging environment, in order to provide education about and promote appreciation and support for live classical music performances. |
