The Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of Southern Nevada, Inc. is made up of citizen volunteers who provide emotional and practical support to victims and their families following the first few hours of a tragedy (death, sexual assualt, violent crime, etc.). Volunteers are called by local police, fire and medical personnel. Volunteers are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

Without a TIP volunteer present, the victims or survivor of tragedy may be left alone at a time when they are emotionally traumatized, and least capapble of thinking clearly or rationally.
