Tennessee is usually one of the top 3 states for anti-LGBTQ legislation.

But we can advance the values of equality and inclusion in rural, urban, and suburban Tennessee.  Here's how:

Grow the Movement in Socially Conservative Areas of Tennessee:  TEP's biggest annual event is Boro Pride in Murfreesboro, which has grown every year since 2016.  We have plans to add more TEP committees around the state with your help so that local advocates throughout the state can lead the fight.

Trans 101 sessions: We have provided these at no cost to companies, congregations, and clubs throughout the state since Fall 2021.

Prepare Advocates:  We have reached hundreds of people throughout Tennessee with Advocacy 101 training sessions, personal coaching and group legislative talks that helped them speak out for the values of equality and inclusion. Now that we can meet in person again, we can do more.

Engage the Media:  We respond to media calls, pitch stories, and write op-eds that shape the case for equality.  We are a voice for equality and inclusion in the public life of Tennessee.

Your support makes all these programs possible throughout Tennessee--a state that still needs to make leaps in its climate for LGBTQ people.  We are grateful for your support on Give OUT Day and throughout the year.
