In addition to being an award winning entertainment organization, Toast of Tampa Show Chorus is also a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that relies on a variety of funding sources to carry out its mission. Toast of Tampa Show Chorus celebrates and promotes the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education, competition and performance. Our parent organization, Sweet Adelines International, is the largest treble voice music education organization in the world. 

The chorus was formed in 1987 with 33 singers, a talented director and a passion for barbershop harmony! Thirty-six years later it is an innovative performing ensemble made up of over 85 treble singers of all ages. Toast of Tampa has competed in 18 International competitions and has been home to three world champion quartets. When competing with 32 other high achieving choruses last November TOT placed fifth in the world. 

Like many art organizations, the pandemic took its toll on our chorus. Membership waned when weekly rehearsals were suspended and replaced with educational sessions via zoom. Community performances - our main source of income - were cancelled and postponed. The chorus has come back strong with 30 new members in the past two years and is excited to be the 5th place medalists from the international competition. In order to keep our chorus thriving, our members have been engaged in a variety of fundraising efforts including gift card sales, gift basket sales and seeking grant funds. While our efforts have been positive, financial needs remain.

With your support we will continue to reach out and encourage others to experience acapella harmony and present a rich and rewarding experience for our members and audiences. Gifts fund fees for world-class educators; support operating costs; and ensure the health and longevity of the chorus. As we look to the future, we are more dependent than ever on your support and enthusiasm in order to continue inspiring a passion for barbershop music in our community and around the world.
